Hello all, I've been having 4wd problems for a while now but only just have had the time, place and tools to try and figure it out. Now that I'm home on winter break from school I'm trying to get somewhere on this. What I have figured out is that I need to investigate my front actuator on the diff. I've got an 02 so its the electric kind if that matters.
My problem is I can't find anywhere that shows or explains how to remove the actuator on the front diff. I've heard that you can undo the three mounting bolts and the diff will sag enough to get it out, but I just tried that tonight and it definitely isn't enough. It seems like some of the steering components are in the way.
If anyone has replaced their front actuator or knows how to remove it it would be greatly appreciated. This is the only thing in between me and getting my 4wd back.
