02 radio skips bad, any help??

if i go over the slightest bumps in my 02 4runner, the cd thats playing will skip and its driving me crazy. i know its not the cd's that im playing. does anyone know a solution or mabey why its happening?

also, will the scion radio fit in the 02 4runners?

Try getting a CD lense cleaner for your deck ... that might do it.

Huh??? Are you saying try different brands, throw out the Spin X and keep the TDK's. Or are you saying play something like Rap, I mean if it skips, who will notice.

You might want to put some CD shocks on your CDs, that or burn your CDs on a higher quality disks. Playing rap might not solve it, but try anyway. If that don't work, play Indian music like I do. I will guarantee realign the CD player itself.

If all else fails, Go to Cartoys and put in a new Alpine Deck.

on another note, my oem radio wont play my burned CD's either. so mabey its just my radio??

any clue on the scion radio fitting in the '02?

Technically you aren't supposed to burn audio CD's at a rate faster than 4x. Most good players will have no trouble reading disks burned at higher rates, but this is an OEM system we're talking about here.
