The tranny selection lights on the dash light up as they should... didn’t used to but when I installed my new head unit they do now. Probably because I removed the shifter housing and I bumped a wire maybe. Anyway, should the letters on the housing light up? They don’t now. I’m wondering if I need to go back into the shift housing and check wires.
02 Sport: Should the letters (D, R, N, etc) light up on auto shift console?

Yes they should.
Crap... back to the salt mines. Or at least a ten minutes trip back to the salt mines.

Yea, all of mine light up except for D. I can't really be bothered to fix it now though.
