I am also interested in these "OEM style spoilers." This is a great price, therefore a lot of us will be leery. Please tell us more. What are they made of and what is the guarantee on craftsmanship? If all checks out, I am interested.

Sorry guys. There was a little miss understanding with my supplier. I can sell them for $129.99 painted and shipped, no tax.

They are made in the USA from virgin ABS
3yr warranty on parts, paint and light.

If that is the pic, where the Spoiler lamp is "NOT facing down" like other aftermarket spoilers then, I'll highly recommend it. It took me 6 months looking for such OEM design.

And yes, I have the same spoiler(California Dream). Its still there after 3 yrs.

Incase you have problem with the spoiler light. There is a replacement assembly for sale - OP should know that.

does it do anything beneficial?

The 2006 Spolier are with "Hump". Many 2006 and up 4th gen owners are looking for an aftermarket source for such "hump style" spoiler but for my years of surfing toyota 4runner sites, not a single one I can confirm that he has that style bought from an aftermarket source or atleast reasonable price. There are Toyota online parts seller which priced them for $450-$600 but still I haven't seen a member have it installed. There is a project in this site, for the seller to make the "mold" for a hump spoiler, but I think its still attracting members to meet the nos of pre-order.

At first, if I am a 2006 owner, I'll buy a "hump" spoiler so it will look OEM. But even dealer installed spoilers are aftermarket. And now came the 2008 Urban Runner, its a newer 4th gen and it does not have the hump spoiler from factory...so we can't tell that all 2006 up 4th have the hump style.

Spoiler is mostly for looks, and if your planning to buy one for your 4th gen, better start looking for one now, or it will be an endangered species later, because who will make the mold for our aging 4th gen. Those sold at ebay or where ever is probably in its last batch.

My supplier ( california dream ) is currently making the spoiler pictured.
 
I'll be interested in a spoiler if the 3rd brake light if facing outwards and w/o a hump.



Waiting for Presta to post more pictures of said spoiler.
