'03 4runner and Scion HU

Okay......I swear I have tried to find the answer on the forums and can't!!! I have a 2003 4runner with the JBL System (single CD unit). Will ANY of the Scion HU's fit as a direct plug-and-play in it??? I have red that 1st gen Scion HU's wouldnt, but was wondering if something has changed. Any help would be appreciated!!

No Scion HU is direct plug and play replacement for the Stock JBL system. There is an external amp for the JBL and I believe the speakers are wired off of the amp. Also the Scion HU is smaller than the JBL so you would end up with a visible gap.
