03 Config/Price Check

Looking at an 03 V8 SR5 with 106K on the clock. My mechanic says it will need TB and a sway bar bushing. Otherwise looks good. Seller asking $12k, I intend to offer $10,500. Seem fair?

Also, did any 03 SR5s come with the non gray fender trim? This one has the Dorado Gold paint and trim pices and SR5 badge. Toyota sticker insider of door has manufacture date of 6/03.

I'm looking at 03/04s and they do come without the gray cladding.

I'm not sure about the price. Most of the ones that I have seen with that engine and miles have been asking about the same price. I'm not sure what they are selling for though.

Make sure your mechanic knows what he's doing RE: TB + WB. It requires disassembly of quite a bit of the 2UZ

From 6/03 on the gray cladding was eliminated on the SR5. When I bought mine Toyota was giving $1500 rebate on the models with gray cladding to move them. My build date is 6/03 and does not have the gray cladding. When I bought it I asked the salesman if there were any rebate and he said yes, $1500 for the cladding. He did not know what it meant and gave me the $1500 rebate that really did not apply to mine.
