03 dash lights out

I have an 03 where the dash lights(display for time and temp) have all gone out, to change ac/heat temp i have to turn overhead light on. Dealer wants a ton to fix, has anyone had this problem and repaired themself?

Quick fix you can do yourself. The dealer should have the parts available for purchase for just a few dollars, my local dealer even keeps them in stock since they are ordered so often.

The bulbs are $3-5 depending on the dealer, and are very easy to replace.

Just remove the little storage thing under the AC unit. Open it, pull straight up and out. You will see a 10mm bolt. Remove that, and then the panel just pulls out. Start at the lower left side, and just work your way around. Its in there pretty good, but you wont break anything.

edit-You will need to disconnect the main wiring harness going to that unit, after popping it out. This is obvious, but I figured i should add that it wont mess anything up. Remove that, look at the rear of the unit, and you will be able to see the bulbs.
