03 Power Steering Flush?

Got my 03 SE V8 inspected at the end of September and they told me my power steering fluid was black, and that I should have the system flushed and new fluid added.

Does this sound right? I have never had a car that needed this done. Is something causing this that I should be concerned about?

It's probably a good idea. At 4yr/50k I always do it. It helps the power steering pump and the seals in the rack outlast the vehicle which is what you want...

Cool, I have the truck at the dealer now to replace the Serpantine belt tomorrow, I will call them and tell them to perform the power steering service.

The truck has 63K on the odometer.
