03 starting problem

It will jump start. Battery checked out good. I read the starter contacts thread, but since it will jump start I'm not sure that applies. I was going to start with replacing the positive cable going to the starter thinking it may be corroded internally and the extra juice from the jump is overcoming that. Thoughts?

Check the grounds. When jumping are the cables both on the battery being jumped or is the negative on a different ground?

If it jumps you have either bad connection at the battery, or a bad battery.

yep, 12.7 last night and wouldn't start without a jump. 10.4 this morning. Put a new battery in starts right up. Thanks for responses
