03 Swapping 17 " for 16" wheels - Tire pressure system question

I am swapping my stock 17 wheels for stock 16 inch wheels. I do not have the tire pressure monitor on my 03. The 16 " wheels I found have the TPMS included with the wheels. Is that something I can just remove when mounting my tires since I do not have it on my 03 ?

yes, they can be replaced with regular valve stems...

you should also ensure the 16" wheels will clear your calipers. 4runners with larger front rotors require a 17" wheel. the larger rotors are found in sport ed and some sr5 and ltd's

Thanks !! I already swapped my 16 inch tacoma wheels and they went on the front with no problem.

Rook is right , put regular stems in .

Take the monitors out carefully , are they from a 4R ?
