03 T4R Towing

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum. I am about to pull the trigger and buy a used 03 T4R V6. I wanted to use it to tow my 21' boat. The total weight of my boat and trailer is about 3200lbs. I know the T4R will have no problems pulling it, but my concern was if my boat would be pushing the T4R around. I used my friends trail blazer to pull my boat and you could feel the truck being pushed around. What your experiences with towing a boat with a T4R? Would it be a good idea to add a transmission cooler? Thanks for the help.

Using proper towing techniques, you shouldn't have any problem towing a load of that size. I would recommend the trans cooler though. You may not need it, but if you do, you wouldn't want to find out after it's too late. And installing one isn't that difficult, or expensive, considering the benefit it provides.
