03 V-6 4Runner oil quantity

My 2003 4Runner Owner's Manual states that the oil quantity with a filter change is 6.5 quarts. I just changed the oil and replaced the filter (with the same P/N larger, made-in-Japan Toyota filter that originally came on the vehicle), and with 5.0 quarts the level shows just slightly below the "full" mark on the dipstick. Either my owner's manual is in error or the wrong dipstick was installed in my vehicle!
My vehicle is a 2003 V-6 Limited 4WD 4Runner, mfg 5/03. Could anyone else verify the correct quantity of oil the 03 V-6 4Runner is supposed to have, and what your owner's manual lists in the back section?

My manual states the following:
read L (qt, Imp)
1GR-FE Engine (V6)
With Filter 5.2 (5.5, 4.6)
Without Filter4.9 (5.2, 4.3)

2UZ-FE Engine (V8)
With Filter 6.2 (6.5, 5.5)
Without Filter 5.7 (6.0, 5.0)

Your V6 is a 1GR-FE engine. Looks like you are looking at the V8 spec which has the capacity you are stating.

The problem was an error in my Owner's Manual. In my manual [P/N OM35795U] there were no specifications for the V-6 engine [1GR-FE], only for the V-8 engine!! Looks like the manual I should have received is P/N OM35820U, and I contacted Toyota Customer Services to see if they will send me the correct version.
Thanks to Toy-Man for the correct data out of his owner's manual! Fortunately I've always used the rule of thumb to refill oil to the dipstick mark; the quantity listed in the owner's manual is most useful to tell me how many quarts to bring to the vehicle.
