'03 V6 4.0L Supercharger?

Out of all the 4Runner forums I've searched, this is definitely the most helpful!

So here goes....Has anyone out there found a supercharger for a V6 '03 4Runner? TRD has the edition for '03 V8 4.7 models but I have found nothing for V6's. Beyond a supercharger, I haven't really been able to find many performance upgrades for V6's. It's a NOOB question, but is the V6 simply not as popular in terms of performace upgrades? For instance K&N upgrades seem to be all about the V8's, at least for the 2003 models.

I'm hoping that they're just behind, but the '04 models are out and I'm starting to lose hope.....any ideas?

Also, does anyone know anything about the availability of the chrome shifter knobs? I test drove a model with one but my Sport came with the regular leather-wrapped version. I've been hoping to find a chorme one ever since I picked up my car

I think the lack of parts for the V6 is because it is fairly new. The 2003 4Runner is the first truck to ever use this engine, so parts are limited since it is so new. The V8 has more parts simply because it has been around for a while now. I think it was introduced in 1998 or 1999, so it's had time for development of upgrade products.
 
You have a Sport and did not get the chrome shift knob!?

Greenhorne did not get SE emblems on his passenger side.

What is going on with Toyota? You should have received a chrome knob as part of the standard SE package.

I wish I knew....but on the other hand, I've been so satisfied with my car that I can hardly complain since I can, afterall, still shift!!;):

As for a lack of badging, however....that's REALLY odd and I'm surprised it got through their quality control. Have you taken it to the dealer to find out what their problem is? I'm starting to get the feeling that Toyota has trouble with some of these "mundane" details even though the 4Runner itself is Rock Solid ("This is hardly a mundane detail, Michael" -- Office Space )
 
K&N just released a drop-in for the V6 -- only a matter of time before they come up with an intake kit. Although, interestingly enough the V6 appears to draw outside air from the passenger wheel well already. A local exhaust shop offered to build a custom setup for about a third of what a Borla system would run, but I'm not sure I want the extra interior noise resonating thru the cabin.

Performance parts for 2003 V6 4Runner unlikely

Most likely performance parts in general for the >= 2003 V6 4Runners will be sparse compared with the V8 simply because logically one would have purchased the V8 for more performance.

According to Kelly Blue Book, the difference between the V6 and V8 (2004 Sport base invoice) is only $1,115, a difference that can easily be enveloped by an intake-header-exhaust combo, which doesn't even come close power-wise.
