03 V6 stalls when coming to a stop

This morning my 4runner stalled at 2 different complete stops. When it stalled, there was no missing, or fluttering....just died. I put it back in P and it started right back up, no issues. No check lights either.

Anyone else had this happen? Yesterday, I was messing around in the rear hatch installing a reverse cam. I had the lock mechanism unplugged. When i put everything back together, the door wouldn't latch. I disconnected the battery and all was good. Could anything here be related?

I was going to start by cleaning the MAF as I read in another thread. Would pulling the ECU fuse help to re-learn?

Mine did the stalling thing like 8 mths ago a couple times when getting off the freeway coming to a stop and on the streets within a week period. I was chasing my tail with no codes as well. I cleaned the MAF, throttle body, checking sensors, changing spark plugs, and whatever else you could be thinking right now. I was stumped until i went back to the beginning of my entire list of things I checked already. It was the Damn MAF I had already cleaned thoroughly, well didn't matter how clean i got it, I happened to use a flashlight and look down in the tube part of it, which is ackward but caught a glympse of the wire and it was slightly snapped barely touching so I think it would lose sudden connection? Dunno?. Replaced my MAF with one from Pep Boys their most expensive one cause they had like 3 different grades/manufactures it was like $84 bucks. I popped that in everything was good again...YEAH RIGHT for about 8 hrs once the computer figured out what I stuck in her, she said "nope!! Try again Stupid!!
Never fails you cant get by without OEM, why I even tried.

So moral of the story check your MAF and clean it. not saying its broke.

Thanks for the maf tip! Its next on my list to check if this starts happening again. So far, no more stalls after the first few. Was kind of figuring it might have been part of the ecu re-learning after the battery was disconnected.

I had that happen to me when I changed out the battery. Hopefully this turns out to be the issue.
