Bought it last week here in Houston with 34,762 on the clock from Don McGill.
Was owned by an old lady who had all the maintenance done at the dealership, had the owner's manual tab-marked with notes, had adhesive dots at 30, 40, and 50 mph on the speedo. Still wearing the original Dunlops. Already had the timing belt changed at 30k miles.
And, as of this morning, the center diff lock works!!! It was sticking prior. I could hear it click as the actuator fired. Just worked it on, off, on, off, on, off, etc. at different (straight line) speeds until it finally engaged. On that note, has anyone tried servicing their t-case with Auto-Rx to see if that helps un-freeze a frozen lock? The Torsen only requires basic 75-90 gear lube, nothing exotic. I figure it can't hurt, right? Not sure what the guts look like inside the case.
Been cruising the boards all week for red flags and ideas.
Looking for a set of FJ springs to replace the sagged units I'm sporting. My front CVs point up and away instead of level or down...
Big stereo will be next.
