So a few days ago I got my timing kit from Ebay and was finishing the install last night. I went to put on the drive belt which is size 6PK-2235 and it was so tight that even if I could get it on, the belt tensioner would have absolutely no movement.
I emailed the seller, and he sent me a link to Bandos fitment guide saying in fact that the 2235 will fit 03 and 04s. After looking at the old belt that I tossed it turns out it is a 2240.
Should I still ask for a different belt, or try and jam the 2235 on there. I would think with the tensioner not being able to move, or because it would be so tight it would cause more bearing wear.
