03 V8 LTD Check Engine light

Hi,
I'm hoping someone may have heard of this issue. We have an 03 V8 LTD and my battery died on Saturday. It turned over slowly in the morning and then after I washed it, I just got clicking. Not a big deal, the battery was over 4 years old. Went to AutoZone and got a 3 year replacement. I installed the battery, kicked the beast over and everything seemed fine. Wife takes out 4R today and calls me with the kids in the car saying "it just stopped in the middle of the road". I come pick them up (luckily they didn't make it too far) and she said the engine just stopped with all the lights on and she couldn't start it. I jump in and I try to kick it over and it starts up albeit a little shaky. I ran it for about 5 minutes and then drove it for about 5 blocks with no issues. When I kicked it over I had power, lights were on, cranking power was there...

Now she doesn't want to drive it because she's afraid it will happen again (I don't blame her). The only thing I can think of is when I swapped out the battery (4R was w/o battery for about an hour) the ECU was reset and maybe it just stalled?? It was the first time it was driven after I swapped out the battery (I just turned it over to make sure everything was in working order and I didn't take it on a ride).

That's the only thing that has changed on the 4R in the past 12 months. It's a rock solid truck and this is the first time it stranded her on the road.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

It almost sounds like battery terminals caused a momentary interruption of power. I'd pull the terminals, clean them with a little baking soda and water followed by water. That's all I can think of...
