03 V8 Muffler Question

Hoping someone can help me identify the connection between the muffler and and tailpipe. I have a bunch of rust and its hard to see what kind of bolt attachment it is. The front is very easy to see with the bolt/spacer/spring configuration. I've seen the diagram from Rock Auto and it doesnt call out anything on that connection.

I'm hoping to replace the muffler myself, if I can understand the rear connection.

It's very similar, if not the same as the front. Should be a flange and 2 bolts. I don't think it has the springs on it though. I don't remember seeing the springs on mine

That connection is two flanges held together with two bolts/nuts and one gasket to seal the connection. If you have to take it apart, just cut the bolts, they will most likely be too rusted to use again. I have also found the ends of the flanges, where the bolts go through, can be rusted enough that you will need flat washers to help the new bolts hold.
