03 V8 with new Magnaflow Muffler

Just put on new Magnaflow muffler today and it sounds good. Not too loud in the cab but you can hear it outside. Plus, it was under a $100!

Yes i did. I told the muffler guy to take it off and he suggested against it b/c he said almost everyone had regretted it. He said if i wanted it off, i should wait until the new muffler breaks in and then decide. He's a friend, so i took his advise and left it on. I'm happy with my set-up right now. I was also told that it causes backfires if removed and i didn't want that.

Backfires!!??? It's not a lawn mower

I've had a catback Magnaflow for 6 months and haven't experienced any backfiring.

interesting since the entire magnaflow cat back system doesnt have afterfires but i guess its because of the length of the supplied muffler.

Which magnaflow muffler did you go with... and did you find any good deals?? I am interested in getting one.

not sure which model. My muffler man picked it. Hes a school friend and i just let him do it going on the sound i told him i wanted. I said, good sound starting off but not too loud going down road at highway speeds. it was $90 parts and labor.
