04 4runner weird noise from front right when it rains

hey i have an 04 sr5. 100,000 miles on it. ever since i got the truck it makes a weird kinda buzzing noise from the front right wheel well every time it rains. any ideas any help would be appreciated thanks

Did you ever find out what this noise was? I am hearing this noise too on my 06 4runner sport when its rains. I've only had it for about a month now and still trying to figure out what it is.

I would do an inspection on the front end, probably time for some PM.

Is it a buzzing noise or more of a hiss like water dropped on a hot surface? I had the latter sound. It turned out to be runoff from the rain gutters which has a down tube that exits under the vehicle near the right front. If I recall it was just in front of the firewall. It should have a little plastic or rubber tube to point the water away from the exhaust etc. Mine was missing and it splashed onto the exhaust.

It more of a buzzing noise coming from the front right wheel well. It not really a constant sound just gets louder as more water is driven through. Front end inspection maybe the way to go. Thanks guys.

are your splash guards still in tack? I had that same noise, I replaced my torn splash guards and it resolved the issue.

The splash guards look fine. I'm not sure what it could be.
