04 Sport Front End Noise

Hi

When I turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and turn very slowly into my driveway I hear a noise like metal on metal. I looked and there does not seem to be any grease fittings. The noise only happens when the wheel is all the ways to one side and I go < 1mph and alot of weight seems to be pressing down on the wheel. While driving at speed there is no problem. Has anyone had this problem or know how to lub the front end?

You need to add a dab of grease on the steering stops. It's near the bottom by the lower control arm.

Yep, I agree. I had the same thing. If you look under the car, from the front, you'll see a ] looking piece facing forward. When you turn the wheel all the way, that ] piece comes into contact with the suspension arm, and rubs. Some axle grease along the face of the ] will fix the problem. Very easy to do, takes about 5 minutes.
