'04 V8 - what was mounted behind my battery?

In the attached pic you can see the collection of mount points behind the battery that look like they have been used...any idea what might have been there?

i bought this used, just noticed the rusty threads today.

I have the same mounting holes on my 04 V-6 with nothing in them. Mine have very little or no rust in them. It looks like you live in the rust belt and it is very possible salt was kicked up there in the winters and sat in those holes and just ate them up.

I don't know but when questions like this come up I often assume it's something to do with right hand vs left hand drive and the fact the fender liners are probably the same part # for the right hand drive model. Another possibility would be something for a diesel model.
