I bought my 06 V8 SE 4x4 with 23,000 mile and love the truck, but i only getting 13-14 mpg mix city and highway, so thinking getting this setup, do u think it would help my mpg increase or decrease.

You must have a heavy right foot if you are getting that low of mileage. If you make it noisier you will like the sound so much you will be on the gas even more and get worse mileage. Drive a little easier and your mileage will go up.

Didn't track my first tank, as the dealership filled it back up for me, I doubt it was better than 15mpg though, with almost 250 highway miles mixed in.

Loved the pull of the V8 and butter-smooth shifts. So satisfying. So much faster/more powerful than my Jeep.

Now I try to keep accelerations from a stop below 2k rpm and keep cruise control at about 67. Last tank was 18.2 with about 60 city/country miles and about 200 miles highway.

May feel like you're babying it, but it has enough grunt down there to get you to 30 or 50 in plenty of time. Jackrabbit starts are MPG killers.

Pull one of the spark plugs and inspect it. I might time for fresh plugs.

I thought mine was low at 18.
