Cold air intake 05 V8

My son is getting my 05 V8 sport. Unfortunately some idiot played car pinball on the freeway during the first snow of the season and totaled his 14 Rav 4 limited. A while ago I couldn’t find a muffler for it (rust) and had a cat back stainless exhaust installed-so it sounds nice but now my son wants a cold air intake. Any recommendations?

Fwiw I am happy he is getting into cars and enjoys the V8 sound. I just hope he takes good care of that truck-i selected everything on it I wanted when I used to manage a Toyota dealership years ago. Tracked its progress etc etc.

It already has “cold air intake” from the factory.

Intake air comes in through the front wheel well, so it’s not hot, under the hood, air.

Correct, don't waste $$$ on a cold air mod, just drop in a replacement "high performance" filter if you want.
