Some @55hole walked into my office .. took the keys off my desk and DROVE off with my truck and 2 baby seats !!!!! So far moving to AK has been the worst thing I ever did. This has to be one of the worst states in the USA. Looks nice on a postcard... screwed up place to live at.

uh, why weren't your keys in your pocket? Not to be a smart arse, but why wouldn't they be on you... Sucks that it happened for sure.

Sorry to here about the stolen T4R but sharp4runr has a great point.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR KEYS AND WALLET SECURE! :bash:

I NEVER leave my keys in a desk, or drawer, or bag. They are on me AT ALL TIMES when not at home. The exceptions are at the gym. My wallet stays in my vehicle and my truck keys are on my shoe laces.

I always think security. It must be my NYC upbringing.

swimmer2361 - no cameras ... non profit foundation ... guess you can't trust the ppl you try to help for FREE ...

steve germany - yeah ... went to Home Depot and got all the locks re-keyed $5/lock with 2 free keys ...

sharp4runr - 1st time ever leaving my keys . Had to deploy and box 20 PCs in one day.. under desk cabling and wiring.

3504runner - More like BAD year. 6 mth before I found a job where you can't trust anyone in your own office!!

snap315 - NOW my mgr has a new policy, all doors remain locked. 24/7 everyone has to badge in ...

BUT I have LOST my 4R !!! :bash: :bash: :bash: :cannon: :cannon: :roadkill:

Sorry to hear about this. Have you asked around if anybody saw anything fishy that day? I know it won't help you now, but maybe you can set up a few wireless cameras in your office so you can keep an eye on what is going on.

Sorry to hear that allthumbs, I hope they find your T4R in one piece :(

FYI, there's been a lot of car burglaries in our area at local gyms - I just saw a story on the local news in the last week where about a dozen cars at a Ballys got broken into and purses/wallets stolen.

Yet another reason why being a couch potato like myself is the safest way to live your life!:D

Sorry to hear about your loss, allthumbs...hope you get it back in one piece.

Good luck.

That is amazing that someone had the audacity to walking to your office and take the keys from there.......

What a POS......:bash:

I hate hearing stories about this! I can't believe that car thieves are not given harsher sentances.

Do you have insurance for your ride? Every state has different laws, but I believe here in Colorado, your car is considered a total loss if it is not recovered within 30 days.

Has your local police department been helpful? Hopefully they catch the scum who stole your rig!

Man that sucks, I always leave my keys and cell phone laying on my desk during the day. Maybe I should at least start putting them in a drawer or something.

This world is going to crap, I just saw on the local news today someone stole 27 puppies from a local breeder. The breeder said they are too young to survive without their mother. Makes me sick.

Allthumbs, best of luck on finding your truck.

Sorry to hear about the stolen 4Runner, that really sucks. Thankfully I've never had a car stolen before and hope I never do. But even though I've never experienced that, I still could feel your pain.

The keys at the gym thing. I _ALWAYS_ keep my car key with me at all times when at the gym, I would never in my life leave it anywhere. My gym has this big board near the front door that you can put your car keys on while you work out. I always see people putting their keys on that dang thing and wonder how they feel safe leaving their keys there when anyone could just walk in the door and take them and bam, they have your car. A couple months ago I seen on the local news that someone was doing this very thing, would walk in a fitness gym and take keys off the rack and steal the car, or would walk into locker rooms and take things.

Hope you get your car back with no damange, keep us all posted.

Hello,

The Stealer installed Lo-Jack on my whip before I left the stealership. It is a piece of mind investment should it be stolen. I hope everthing works out for you in your search.

Was ...05 4R got stolen !!!!!

Well after 2 weeks and 3 days ... APD found my 4R in a parking lot. Exterior is untouched. But the interior is trashed. baby seats are gone. Crack needles everywhere.

Filled up the tank, usually it says range is 400 miles ... now it says 340 miles? any idea?

It just feels a little abused. .. violated Thank goodness I filled it with Mobil 1 synt oil before it got stolen. They drove it 1800 miles in 2 weeks.

Will call the insurance co. tomorrow and see what Geico will cover... re-key the locks. re-program the extra keys? detaling the interior? safety check of motor and mechanical workings of the vehicle ?

THANKS ALL for the support .... only you guys know what it feels like to own a 4R.

crack heads man...buncha damn wackos...I grew up in philly and know all to well of their ways. They just LOVE crack, plain and simple...Id def have ur car totally checked out, they prob smoked a bunch of rock and drove that thing around in the woods/slept in it. That really sucks man, i'd be mad heated. At least it didn't get traded for crack:confused:

Glad you got it back however the fact that it got stolen at work and someone stole the keys off your desk it would seem and make me concerned that the crime was committed by someone who works in your facility or is an accessory to the crime

:cannon: :cannon:

Stupid b1@tch left her Bible in there with her FULL first middle and last name on the cover. I think the boyfriend stole it for a week then picked her up for her release from the slammer. Some paperwork in there suggest that he was trying to set up an Adult entertainment company.

Stinks of skank in there ....

It pisses me OFF....aarrggghhh .....:cannon: :cannon: :cannon:
