05 4Runner suspension bleeding

I was wondering how to bleed the suspension on a 4Runner. I crushed the pipe that goes from the left rear shock to the front right shock right at the left from wheel well. I know how to replace the pipe but was wondering how to bleed the suspension? I dont know if the pipe that connects the two shocks is a hydraulic line or an air line.

You're talking about the X-REAS line right? If so that's a hydraulic one. And I don't think there is a way just to replace the one part. I think you'd have to buy the system from someone who's removed theirs.

Each component of X-REAS comes prefilled, each end has fitting which open up only when screwed together,like a schrader valve,therefore no need to bleed system, svc. manual doesnt have a bleed procedure for the XREAS system

Just undo the line from the shock first, and have your oil change pan underneith it. Allow the fluid to drain into the pan. Once you have the shocks removed, up end the shock over the pan. Open and compress the shock a few times to get all of the fluid out.

So you are saying that if he buys just the crushed line, it comes prefilled with hydraulic fluid and all he would need to do is install it?

If I recall correctly, disconnecting the hydraulic line at the shock is almost certain to ruin that shock. It's suppose to be disconnected at the line under vehicle is away from the shock, where are check or Schrader valves that keeps the fluid from leaking. There's a PDF on the forum of the disconnect locations.

I don't know how X-REAS is sold as a replacement (whether it's in six parts, each shock per corner and balancing canister that's on the frame rail per side; in two, half for each diagonal link; or as full and complete system). I highly doubt you can buy just the hard line and/or bleed the system as X-REAS is a completely closed system.
