'05 Backup, Speed sensor, Brake wires?

Have an '05 with JBL and 6 CD changer. Just got the NAV from oemvalue. I have looked through posts but have not found the definitive answer. I hope someone has it.

I need to find the Backup, Speed Sensor and optionally Brake wires to hook up the missing items. This did not come with the NAV unit so there probably won't be a nice connector hanging behind the radio. Where are these wires in the SPECIFIC model?

Thanks!

Speed Sense
purple/red - ECM behind glovebox
NOTE : On the 6 cylinder models, it is in the 2nd plug from the bottom, pin 8. On the 8 cylinder models, it is in the 2nd plug from the bottom, pin 17.

Backup ?

Brake Wire
green/yellow - left of fuses (16 pin plug)
should also be able to find this @ the plug at the brake pedal.

Not responsible for your use of this info, please be carefull and test the wires with a computer safe meter.

Thank you very much for YOUR response. I have all of them tapped. I have to do the voice nav connection yet. How would I verify that the speed sense actually is working? I know there is a thread that says what you will loose but I cannot verify that.

Any help is appreciated.

Speed sensor is used to lock out a variety of functions on the E7009 Display screen when moving. Example, you can't input a destination or dial a phone number by a number (only speed dial works when moving). Best way to test is to go to DEST screen when stopped and start moving. Some functions will be blanked out and you won't be able to select them until you come to a stop.

That makes me feel better because that is how it is working. When we are stopped, irregardless of the gear, we can do anything on the DEST screen. Once we move, they instantly blank out. So the unit doesn't depend upon the GPS to show motion since it probably would be showing movement all the time.

Thank you very much for the response!
