05 Factory NAV mute wire simplified (hopefully)

OK I just installed a Motorola IHF1000 car kit with my factory NAV, and managed to get the mute working successfully using the F7 wire (thanks to the diagram provided by T4Runner). However, one problem that I encountered was that the diagram showed a solara NAV, and the factory one looks different on the back. Here is an attempt to show where the F7 wire appears on the 05 factory NAV.

Do you know if I can tap into the F7 (red/white) mute wire in a more convenient location? I hate to tear into the dash just to connect the mute wire from my bluetooth controller.!

I have no idea. I would guess that it would be just as difficult to track it down as it would be to just take the dash apart and tap into it back there.

Yep...it really isn't that complicated once you get started on it though. It looks way more complicated than it actually is.
