05 Limited Nav. Stereo Upgrade

I am planning on buying an 05 V8 Limited with navigation. I've test driven one and in my opinion the stereo sounds like the speakers are firing through pillows. What I am looking for in a stereo is accurate and precise music and voice reproduction. I want the stereo to sound like I'm listening to live music or speach, not like it's coming out of speakers. I don't listen at loud levels and I don't like loud base, although I do like tight accurate base. Does anyone know if replacing all the speakers in the car with some quality speakers, like MB Quart Q-Line speakers, will get me accurate precise music and voice reproduction at low to medium sound levels out of the stock head unit and amp?

If you really want good sound you will have to start from scratch. Replace all of the speakers and amps with quality components. This is why I never get the upgraded sound systems. I don't think you can get the Nav system without it, however.

Replacing the speakers alone will leave your replacement underpowered and this will cause distortion.

Will good speakers and a good amp work?

How about replacing all the speakers with good speakers and replacing the amp with a good amp? Can I still use the head unit with Nav? I want to have the stock navigation system. I am not interested in extreme loudness or pounding bass. I just want accurate music and voice reproduction that sounds like live music and voices that sound like they are coming coming directly from humans, not from inside of a shoebox.
