05 SE leather vs. 05 Limited leather

I've been told all SE models with leather are aftermarket and not from the manufacturer (like the Limited).

Can anyone share some insight regarding the quality of the leather on SE models?

I keep hearing nightmares about the quality of the leather found in SE models ... maybe the lack of quality is unique to installations in the Southeastern region??

From the Factory, SE does not come with leather... the leather found on the SE models are aftermarket.

The leather that is on the Limited is factory. No aftermarket stuff, no zippers, straight from a non-unionized factory in japan.

Just buy a SE and then have the leather added. Will cost you around $800 for the best. Do a search, I remember a couple of threads on this subject. The aftermarket leather I've seen is nicer than the factory leather and you can get it with piping and other special details. I don't know what the difference in cost is between the SE and limited but I bet it is a lot more that $800??? I like the cloth SE interior JMHO but if you want leather go for it. Good luck.

Limited of course is going to cost more.. its a whole package that your getting. Limited doesn't just mean leather.. it means many other things as well.

If you comparing aftermarket leather and factory leather.. for me, I would get the factory... even if its a bit more expensive. Having zippers or anything like that kind of does the opposite of a "refined and seemless" interior.

Shop around and see what's in your budget. Totally personal preference.
