'05 sport edition stereo upgrade

I have a 2005 sport edition 4wd with a single cd/cassette player and want to upgrade to a 6disc/mp3 stereo system...my current stereo is NOT JBL...Is it possible for me to get a factory system? (I also want it to be sirius ready if possible)...I am not too crazy about after market stereos...I would prefer factory if possible.

I have heard different things that although one might fit, it probably isnt compatible.

Has anyone had any success in doing this??? If so, anyone have an idea where I can find one to install and what kinds are compatible? I search ebay quite often but havent found too much luck. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks

Firstoff, welcome to the board.

Most people in your predicament have chosen to acquire the Scion factory head unit. Check ebay for that one. Not sure of the P/N for it, maybe search under "Scion head unit" in this A&E forum. That could probably help you out a bunch. (I prefer aftermarket, so I can't help you directly about pros/cons of the Scion unit).

The Scion unit is actually easier to find on ebay than a 4runner head unit so I will look now. I will search the forum for a Scion P/N that will be compatible.

One more question, if I cant find one on ebay, do you have any other suggestions where I might find one?
