'05 T4R vibration...?

Hi,

New to this forum and considering the new V8 Ltd. After reading some threads about steering wheel vibration and driveshaft clunk, is it safe to assume that these two problems, which concern me the most, will be fixed for the '05 model?

As well, is it just the V8 Ltd that suffers from these two problems and not the V6 Ltd?

I haven't noticed either steering wheel vibration or driveshaft clunk on my 2004.

Most of those issues were isolated and not affecting the entire back in the production.

The clucking on the rear driveshaft just required some lube to clear the issue.

I have no clue on the steering stuff though. I would suspect it would be a wheel balancing issue or an alignment issue both of which can be fixed relatively easily.

My 03 V6 2WD's steering vibration is neither wheel balance or alignment related and it still hasn't been fixed. It's been over a year. However, it's not as bad as it used to be.

Just pay close attention on the test drive and if anything feels off, drive another.

Check to see if you have a warped rim. That could cause it also.

Tires (Michelin Cross Terrains) and rims (17" Toyota) have been examined multiple times at different shops on the GSP9700 Road force machine.

Nothing found out of spec. I gave up trying to figure it out a while ago. Not worth the BS all over again. It's noticeable enough to get on my nerves but not bad enough to ever get fixed, unless accidentally.

Another year or two and I'll look for something else.

On the plus side, it's a nice ride with good power when I need it.
