05 Tacoma skid plate

anyone know if the 2005 Tacoma one piece stamped and formed anodized aluminum skid plate will fit a 4g 4R?

any updates on this? my skid plate is all beat up & looks ridiculous. i am trying to find something else that will work better and is easily accesible without requiring welding skills or $500 in shipping charges.

that skid plate is from an earlier edition tacoma. the one posted at the beginning of this thread is completly different as it is designed for the new tacos which, as far as i know, are based on the same frame as the 4runner.

just an FYI- There has been discussion on the TACO threads that there is a tsb on this skid plate being the culprit of a vibration noise that owners have been hearing on their 05 tacos. The vibration is only felt at certain MPH speeds.

The older skidplate looks so much better IMO;that one looks even more flimsy than the older style too.
