05 v6 Limited Pricing (4X2-no extras)?

Has anyone purchased the above? I mean, the price out the door, after including the tax and the dealer's hidden fee, etc?

I'm seriuosly considering the above but my local dealers are 'hawks' and I don't wanna go down there when I'm not buying till next year anyways!

2 Other Questions so may as well use the same thread:

i) Is it possible to buy leather seats for a Sports Edition? I think that's probably the best looking trim in the class but I've checked the dealers website but its not mentioned.
ii) Is there a lot of difference between the 04/05 Xmissions? I know the latter is 5-speed but the HP produced is still the same so what benefits does a 5-speed tranny offer that I'd be better of compared to a 4-speed tranny (on 04 models)?

Sorry to sound like a dummy but I've never owned any v6 trannies at all so I don't really know what kinda performace or tech numbers I'm supposed to be awed by:

Check out websites like carsdirect.com, edmunds.com, kbb.com to get an idea what the invoice versus msrp costs for the truck you want. Just a warning though, the Limited comes pretty much decked out and bundles a lot of options on. If you want a car a certain way, its best to special order it. If you special order it, you'll have less room to negotiate the price. The dealer wants to move the inventory on hand so they'll work with you a bit more.

Check out Carbuyingtips.com; Thats a great website with a lot of good strategies and getting the vehicle you want at a good price and everyone walks away happy. I used it as my bible when purchasing my truck last year and was able to buy it a couple hundred under invoice. Too bad I didn't wait a few months because they then had a rebate out. Oh well...

If you want leather on your Sport, its going to be a dealer installed option and not come from the port that way. My advice, buy the truck and get leather installed afterwards. The reason being is the dealer will just outsource the leather and installation, upcharge you and then roll it into your loan. If you want to save some money on parts, labor and interest have it done at a reputable installer yourself and cut the dealer out of it all together.

The 5Speed will probably shift smoother and also get a bit better gas mileage. As far as I know the window sticker still says 17 - 21 for the V6 (2005 and 2004) but only time will tell. I get about 17MPG now (2004 V6 4x4) with a mix of city and highway. Good luck purchasing and you can't go wrong with a 4Runner. Look how many happy drivers there are on this board...
