06 4R mystery blinks

06 4R dashboard mysteriously blinks

i was driving and all of a sudden my 4runner starts to beep along with flashing dashboard lights, just like pressing my alarm button. it does this intermittently. what i did though is, come to a full stop, shut the engine down and pull the key out. and then start the truck i normally would and its gone.

what gives?

Could it have been the VSC? What were the road conditions like?

What lights are flashing? However I agree Carl Spackler about the VSC, I just can't think of what else it could be. Also does it keep beeping or only do it for a couple seconds and stop?

sounds like VSC, was it icy? VSC scared the crap outta me the first time, now its like a badge of badassery

I would think the first time VSC goes off for me I would panic do the barrage of lights and beeps and slam into an obstacle. I however, still yearn for my badge of baddassery.
