Recently I had my check engine light come on and took it to a local mechanic. He replaced the fuel tank cap and it went away for awhile but engine light came back on. He couldn't figure out anything other than the codes had to do with the fuel evaporation system.
I found out the codes are related to a known issue TSB EG040-06. My vehicle is over 100K and is not part of the VIN #'s listed.
Wondering if anyone had a similar issue? Also wondering how much it cost to replace the charcoal cannistor/evap pump? I see the part is about $350 but not sure where it's located at so not sure on labor cost?
