06 headlights on an 03 for HIDs

Gaterose, can you say anything else about this swap?
Where do you get the trim piece or can you just replace the grill entirely with an 06+ grill...?

Would my best course of action then be to get a new HID bulb or to get a new harness that will fit the 9006 bulb in the h11 housing?

I got the pieces from toyotapartszone, but any online dealership will have similar pricing. The trim pieces are separate from the grille. There will still be a small gap due to the grille. You can use an 06 grille but there's a fair amount of cutting unless you have an aftermarket bumper.

Just get H11 HID bulbs if you already have a kit. The h11 bulb will plug in place of the 9006 and everything will be the same.

And yes, the projector headlight housing (06+) has the factory projectors built in. Just add lights and the new wiring harness (can be found at the above site).
