06 JBL 6 disk + Toyota Sirius Receiver = Satelite ?

If you have an OEM 06 JBL 6 disk changer without Sirius satelite can you just buy a after market Siruis toyota receiver and plug it in.

Will it display the Satelite channel info on the face of the OEM JBL ?

Also can I buy a wire from toyota which plugs in to the back of the OEM JBL and install it in the center console to play my Ipod ?

Thanks guys, thought someone might know these ?' It drives me crazy that I bought a 05 when I could have gotten satelite plus, Ipod aux, built into a stock 06 system.....ahhhh

Keep in mind that if you purchase a '06 JBL headunit and install it, you don't automatically gain the AUX input. I still have yet to figure out how to add it. There is no extra place to connect anything on the back of the 06 unit ... so I am assuming I will need sort of way to tap into the existing wiring harness. Additionally, I have yet to find the part number for any of the wires or connectors.

I see, thats wierd, you would think you could just attach a wire to an empty plug in the rear of the HU.

Maybe someone who has an 06 JBL OEM with the Ipod factory installed option could let us know how it works.

I have seen those silver receiver boxes that are brand (Toyota, etc) specific for satelite radio. Can you buy one and plug it into the back of the 06 JBL and have the satelite display song titles, etc. directly on the HU ?

I cant wait until you install those spacers in your unit so I can see if it will mount flush.
