I have a 2004 that came with the single disc JBL. I don't believe any changes were made from 2003 to 2004 in regards to the head units. I swapped a 2005 JBL 6 Disc unit into my 2004. I've seen on the boards that people have put 2006 JBL units into their 2005 model 4Runners with slight modification to the bezel or none at all.
Of course, like any internet related advice take it with a grain of salt

Where did you get your HU from? Did you buy it from the Stealership or did you get it off the net?
Just wondering.
Thanks,
Joe

uwf said:Hey guys,
Well I got a quote from partznet.com for a 06 6CD changer at $376 shipped to MA. I wanted to get an idea what they cost brand new. The tech I was dealing said that I needed an adapter harness but I do not think that is so. He might have thought that I was trying to put it on a non-JBL 4Runner.
Anyway, I am going to try looking around for one used. We will see. If I come across one and do the install, I willl post up results.
ScottyMac if you sell definitely let me know. The only thing is I don't use IM. Do you have an email that I can send you a message too? Oh, did you need an adapter harness for your install (as mentioned above)?
Thanks for help.
