06 Performance Chips

Is anyone using a Performance Chip on their TR4? I have been researching and trying to figure out if it would be worth it or if it would cause damage in the long run. Mainly seeing if there might be a mpg boost.

They are a total gimmick. They've been tested and tested and tested..and they all come out the same..."A complete waste of money".

Think about it for minute....IF there was a chip that could increase performance and gas mileage...don't you think Toyota (or any manufacturer) would be putting them in every vehicle they make???? Manufacturers spend MILLIONS each year in R&D to meet the Cafe' restrictions. And now here comes a simple $50 chip to increase gas mileage. If it were even close to being true...Toyota would STOP all R&D...fire it's engineers and just buy the chips from this company.

Dont do it its garbage....if it was that simple i would have saved myself the 1700 that a spent on a fully controllable EMS and gotten that. If anything get an intake exhaust and get the maf cal from URD. IMO that would be the most cost effective way of getting a nice thump out o your truck.

URD maf cal is the best bang for the buck out there for toyota trucks. If you want the good stuff get prepared to spend big bucks. One of my next mods after I get ID 1000s injectors is a pro efi 128.

Hey whitebeauty what ems are you using? Looked at the pro 128 and it looks universal? I need a plug and play dang it! No aem love for me :(

Holy crap. I've been grossly addicted to this forum with Tapatalk on my phone for over a year now...

Would you believe this is the first I've heard of this (or at least first I noticed)? I'm intrigued to say the least. This work on the v8 as well?

For those wondering, I did a google. Here it is (I think): http://www.urdusa.com/p1260198051/URD-MAF-Sensor-Calibrator/product_info.html

It should, Tundra guys run them and like it. Why don't you give Gadget a call and I'm sure he'll help ya out.

I think I see this in my future for sure. As long as it doesn't effect longevity, I'm sold. Might be able to free up a couple horsepower from the Magnaflow muffler swap, res delete, and the hydrocarbon filter removal too - who knows.

Definately intrigued to say the least.
