How much above invoice are the 06 4 Runners selling for? Also what is the average time to wait if you order a new 06 today?I have seen Edmund figures but would love to hear from members who have purchase/ordered. Also can a new 06 be ordered for the same price they would be willing to sell a similarly equiped vehicle on the lot?

Do I have to answer my own questions I spent most of the afternoon at my local dealer looking at and driving 4 runners.I was hoping to get some feedback from some of you that have bought the 06. Here is what I can get local. Pretty much any model 06 4 runner for invoice plus 500 bucks. I'm willing to bet I can and will get them to sell at invoice when I'm ready to make the official offer. I read on Edmunds today that 06 4 runners have a 400 dollar rebate from 10/01/05 thru 10/31/05 however my dealer does not have this? Anybody have any info on rebates?

I'm also looking into an '06. My sales rep will sell me any model 4R for invoice plus TTL. (Invoice plus dealer holdback, gas, destination charges, TDA--making it slightly higher than carpoint.com's listed invoice price.) Possibly his offer is attributed to me getting a Tacoma from him a few months ago.

Another dealer I went by last weekend, said MSRP OTD for an '05 and MSRP plus TTL for an '06. They can dream on, this isn't a RX400h. :bs:

Now the real challenge is finding a V6 Limited with navigation or any V6 with navigation. I was told, if it's on tmsbuyatoyota.com for my area then I could probably get it, since Toyota configures option combination based on regions. But so far most dealers are saying navigation is only on the V8 Limiteds.

I don't know if this question has already been answered/talked about, but why does the Toyota website list the HP for the '06 4Runners at 260 and less torque than the '05's? Thought this was appropriate while talking about the all new '06.

There's a change in the way how HP is measured for 2006. The power is the same between '05 and '06 models, just a different way of how the number is reported. The 2006 SAE HP number is suppose to be a more true HP number since a lot of test conditions are now standardized for all manufacturers.

The horsepower change between 05 and 06 applies to many other vehicles as well.
When I bought a Toyota Sienna XLE LTD for my brother, I noticed the HP for 05 is 230 and 215 for 06. Same thing happens to Honda Odyssey. Honda has second best overall quality to Toyota, IMO.

You can find "internet price" for 06 4Runner in many dealerships who are willing to post their price on web. As many people know,carmax, fitzmall are two of them. In WDC area, Darcars and Koons have similiar services.

When you look at the GENERAL E-BROCHURE for the 4runner (which can be downloaded at toyota.com), you see that there are option packages for V6 SR5, SE, & Limited models that have nav. It looks like the packages are going for $4000 and up. But package availability will depend on your region. I do not know what your options will be if you order a 4runner.

I was able to order my V6 2006 SE with nav, which is not available in my region. But I am getting it directly from toyota, which allows me to add only the individual items I want without packages.

I think for 2004 and 2005, navigation was available on the Limited only. I was in the market for a 4Runner back in 2003, bought a Camry instead. The only way to have a navigation equipped 4Runner would be the V8 in my region and its price was getting close to the RX330--I know they're two totally different animals and it's not really a fair comparison. For me, I need/want 4WD/AWD to get up to the mountains, possibly avoid using tire chains lightly snow covered roads in the winter for snowboarding. For 2005, navigation was still a V8 Limited only option. My sales rep said, V8 Limited always came with navigation in my region.

Yup, that's what I saw and my sales rep told me, there's the not available options and must have options, i.e. in my region, according to tmsbuyatoyota.com, Sport Edition and Limited are 4WD only, SR5 and SE can't get navi, all Limited V8's are navi equipped. The 4Runner Limited V6 I'm looking at for my region is configured with option combination: navigation, moonroof, curtain airbags and spoiler.

How long did it take yours to be special ordered? If I have to order, I might consider the SE with navi. Though there are a lot of luxury items/features that I like to have on the Limited. Hmmm... choices, choices, choices. I'd also like to see what the gray leather interior would look like.

Mine is currently on the ship and I should get it 3-4 weeks, which makes the total time from ordering to receiving 12-13 weeks. Yes it is an agonizing wait!!
