06 Scion HU Install on a 2006 SE

So I bought an 06 Scion HU on Ebay ... and I got instructions to change the greeting on the unit.

Unit is not installed as yet, will hopefully do it tonight.

Does anyone with a 06 unit know how to change the display color to AMBER ? Cannot find instructions for that.

I know Scion advertises it as "10 color display" so I think that there should be some programming sequence for it.

I bet when you hook it up it will already be amber-- mine was. I know this does not answer your question though, as honestly I dont know how to change it. If anyone could ever copy some pages out of a scion owners manual that would be awesome. Sometimes when I have a mp3 in and it is on random it will start doing random for the whole disc and not just the folder.

Only the iPod version of the '06 headunit has the 10 color display change. There is a "COLOR" button that lets you change the LCD color. Everything else is lit up in amber. If you don't have the iPod version (the one with 3 knobs), there is no way to change the color and it is all lit up in amber.

Yup .. you guys are correct. This one lit up AMBER without any issues.

As it has been said before, Sound is a *LOT* nicer than the stock radio.
