06 skid plate option

There is a skid plate offered for 2006 msrp on it is $179.00. Has any body purchased this skid plate? Does it replace the stock front skid plate, or is it installed in addition to the factory front skid plate? This should be a pretty popular option.

The '06 skid plate does not replace the stock skid plates, it is an addition to those.
It is only supported at the back of the skid plate by brackets and extends to underneath the front bumper.
It is more or less for looks only. I have one on mine and think it looks good.
Check out Partznet.com, you can get one alot cheaper from them.

Darn, I was was all excited about it. Thought it was a heavy duty skid plate, I'm only spending money if the item I purchase is funtional. I am disappointed that is for cosmetic looks.

I think it's somewhat functional, but it is definitely NOT heavy duty.
