06 Sport whining around 60 mph

My 06 sport edition is making a fairly loud whining noise around the 60 mph range with slight throttle applied. I notice it mostly when I'm going down a hill on the highway, let off the gas, then barely get back on the gas right around 60. It's a high pitched whine and goes away when I let off the gas or get on it pretty good. I'm taking it in for the 30k service on Monday, any ideas I could give the service dept? I'm sure they will claim to not hear the noise. That's ok though...it's under warranty until 75k. I would like it fixed though.

Change rear diff fluid with some Amsoil.

I have an 05 Sport 4x4 and it's doing the same thing. I wouldn't call it fairly loud, but it's definitely noticeable.
Only when pressing the gas - let go and the whining is gone.

If it was the rear diff - wouldn't it whine all the time?

Nope. Different gear tooth surfaces (front and back) at different pressures and speeds will make different noises, some louder than others. The concern would be if you have any metal shavings in the gear oil. Otherwise, yes, Amsoil's superior friction reducing can help quiet gears down a little...as will Royal Purple and the like.
