06 Tacoma Skid plate

Hi, has any one attempted to install this 06 Tacoma skid plate on their 4 Runner?
Will it fit?

I think I'm going to try and install one on my Runner.
It is half the price of a JAOS plate and it looks nice.

SKID PLATE update

I found on this web page this skid plate listed under 4runner Accesories.
I called the store and they say it is not exactly the Tacomas skid plate but a similar item that will fit our Runners.
I asked if it was the old skid plate that has to be mounted on the tow rings and they said it is not. I'm going to take a chance and order it. Price is very good compared to the old skid plates they sell at Ebay.

I really like how that looks, and would like to get one. But I don't want it, if it somehow hooks to the factory skid plate. I have a V8 and it sucks enough as is, trying to change the oil. Don't want another skid plate that I have to take off/on each time

Do you have a better pic? The shadow is right where the skid plate is, and it's hard to see it.

aren't those things about an 1/8 of an inch thin.......... I don't think they offer any additional skid protection.

I saw one sitting in my local toyota dealer. I tapped it with my knuckles; they are thin and wouldn't stop anything too gnarly, any decent bump would dent it for sure, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

the 06 taco skid plate is 100% cosmetic like previous toyota skid plates, but since the GX is on the road 95% of the time i don't mind.

i fabbed up some brackets to make it work, the mounting positions would be the same as a 4th gen.

i'll get better pics soon, and even perhaps a write up if you guys are interested.

I think the older ones look better and they actually are a tad thicker. Those new ones will fold even easier if you contact anything.
