06 wind deflector won't lower

Hi,
Is the wind deflector on the sunroof suppose to lower when the speed hits over 45mph.? I tested this morning (55-60mph) and noticed that it didn't lower like other people said it should be. There was a lot of wind noise when driving over 60 mph with the sunroof opened. It is a 06's LTD with 300 miles. Any suggestion? Could this be programmed? thanks

Yeah the sunroof deflector goes down at around 55 mph and then goes back up when you speed lowers to around 45-50. Since you've got an 06, have it checked out by the dealership under warranty

Taking it back to the stealer and have them rip apart my 4runner is my last option. :nono:

Maybe it is mechanically stuck. Did you try fiddling with it a bit?

If it is anything else I wouldn't hesitate to bring it back to the dealer.

How much lower will it get if it's working propertly? (1-2 inches?)

That sounds about right but I've never measured it or paid that close attention to it.
