I purchased an 07 4 Runner SR5 w 108k about 2 weeks ago at a used car dealer, when I test drove it, it would go into 4 wheel drive high just fine, but 4 Lo would cause the indicator light to blink and beep.
I had the dealer check the 4wd actuators and they said they got everything working fine in a test drive. So I went ahead and signed the papers and got it home, then tried the 4wd high again, and the 4wd high light and center diff lock light stayed on continuously.
Also Cruise Control would not work on the highway.
I took it back to the used car dealer, and they took it to our local Toyota dealer for the repair. The dealer diagnosed it, and ended up replacing the 4x4 ECU.
2 weeks later I finally have my 4 Runner back, and cruise control works, so does the 4wd system, they told me cruise control would not work because of the 4wd issue, mabye it would not disengage and let cruise work.
