07 4rnr vs 97 landcruiser

if you guys had a paid for 07 4rnr v6 limited with 10k miles, fully loaded but for third row seats and nav and a 72 month/120k extended warranty, would you trade it for a fully loaded 97 land cruiser with third row seats, dvd, new yokohamas and 10k cash and own it outright and why or why not?

I heard that the 97 TLC was not particularly comfortable on the highway...it has a "drone" on the highway. In addition, fuel economy kinda sucks despite having a in-line 6 engine (4.5L).

Personally, i would stick with the 4runner. However, if you plan on off-roading, then you MUST make sure that the TLC has LOCKERS. If it does not, then there is no chance in hell i would give up a 4runner for it. Remember, stock vs. stock, a '97 TLC withOUT lockers is LESS capable than a stock 4runner in most circumstances.

IF it does have lockers (rare, only 10% TLC had full lockers from factory), then i would seriously consider it only IF you plan on making it into an expedition vehicle.

I'd go with the paid for 4Runner. The 4Runner is paid, still under warranty and the insurance will probably cost less. I'm not familiar with the '97 Land Cruiser, but I would guess the 4Runner would be a more reliable vehicle that would cost less to operate.

This is a no brainer! Keep the 4runner, no doubt. It's brand new and you have the warranty and it's a 4runner. The LC is nice, but it's 10 years old with 140k miles, that's crazy to keep instead of the 4runner!!!

I agree with all the other posters here. As far as comfort goes, the 4runner is almost the same size interior wise so you don't really gain anthing in hip, leg, and shoulder room or cargo room. So I would definetly stay with the newer vehicle.

4Runner of course, it still has a full and extended warranty. The only 10+ year old vehicle I would take is a Supra.
