07 4Runner spoiler noise?

Hi, I noticed that when I push down on the spoiler on my 4Runner, it squeaks a bit. I was just wondering if this is normal? I understand that the spoiler is only installed to the car, therefore it can't be 100% solidly attached. Can someone test this out for me and see if they notice any tiny bit of squeak or noise when they try to push or pull on the spoiler? Thanks

I forgot to mention that it got cold here all of a sudden and i've heard cold weather can make your car make noises, both externally and internally. Does this have anything to do with it?

This reminds me of the story of the patient who went to the doctor and said, "It hurts when I do this..." So the doctor says, "don't do that!" :D

Seriously, I know the spoiler is not held on well enough to not move if you put pressure on it by pushing/pulling. It's a giant piece of plastic that's held on by two bolts and two clips, so it's easy to move it if you try.

If it was squeaking on its own while you were driving, then you could consider going to the dealer and having it removed and re-attached. However, there's a good chance the spoiler will break when someone tries to pull it off the clips, so make sure the dealer is doing it for you as warranty work!

sting97pt,

I was in the garage and I remembered your post about this. LOL I pushed and pulled on my spoiler, and it made a little bit of a creaking noise, not much tho. Hope this helps. :)
