I just got a standard 07 HU off ebay, and I want to replace my standard HU in my 05 4R. Currently I have the AUX adapter that plugs into the CD changer port and has 2 RCA inputs. The question I have is will the 07 HU use this adapter on the AUX port? Or does it show up again under the CD as CD 6-1 and 6-2?
I want to add an AUX port like the newer 4Runners have, but before I take apart my console I want to have everything I need. If my AUX adapter doesn't work, can I buy just the AUX plug and cable from Toyota?
What I would be plugging in is not an ipod, so I have no need for the ipod adapter if it would even work with this radio.
